I had a great opportunity to get connected with fellow Chicagoan and Bachelorette contestant Iggy Rodriguez. Iggy and I spoke about a number of topics. In the interview he shares his experience on the show, what’s it like behind-the-scenes when the cameras aren’t rolling. He drops a few spoilers and very interesting news. This is a must listen interview with the man who is making waves on Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette. Listen in below. MY TAKE:

Iggy was super awesome to chat with. Very open with an opinion and perspective. For those of you wondering why Iggy chose not to address the Bachelor In Paradise discussion, it’s because of the legal issues that were surrounding it at the time of the interview. It was an ongoing legal investigation that could have gotten him in trouble for commenting on it. He doesn’t deny that he was in there filming BIP.

Iggy was great in providing all the insight into the life at the house. All those activities that take place when the cameras aren’t rolling. Apparently it’s boozin’ and playing cards. It was fairly surprising to hear that the contestants have no outside contact with their families. I appreciated the fact that he didn’t hold back when it came to his opinion of some of the guys in the house. He brought up the guys he’s friendly with and ones he butted heads with. 

No one will ever understand the bond and experience these men and women share by being part of the Bachelor experience, but Iggy provided as good of an insight as you can possibly get for an outsider to understand. He was very gracious with his time, even though we encountered numerous inconveniences, to make it work out in the end. I’m excited to say that this may not be the first and last time you hear from Iggy on The Bachelor Universe. We are planning something cool for all of you, so stay tuned!
